Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

Short version: Flosna is a local-only expense tracker. Your financial data stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal finance data. Ads are served by Google (AdMob on mobile, AdSense on the website) and may use device identifiers subject to your consent.

1. Who We Are

Flosna ("we", "us", "our") is an independent mobile app and website. The Flosna app is available on Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS). This Privacy Policy applies to the Flosna Android and iOS mobile applications and the flosna.net website. Contact: flosnatracker@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Mobile App (Android & iOS)

The Flosna mobile app is offline-first. All data you enter — transactions, budgets, savings goals, categories, and notes — is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a backend server that receives or stores your financial data. No account or email address is required to use the app.

2.2 Analytics & Diagnostics

The app may collect anonymous crash reports and usage analytics to help us identify bugs and improve performance. This data does not include financial information, transaction details, or personally identifiable information. Diagnostic data (device model, OS version, app version) may be transmitted to help us fix issues.

On iOS, diagnostics may use Apple's built-in frameworks (e.g., MetricKit). This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

2.3 In-App Advertising — Google AdMob

The Flosna mobile app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob is operated by Google LLC. The data collected and how ads are served differs by platform:

Android

AdMob may use the Android Advertising ID (AAID) — a resettable, anonymous identifier — to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising or reset your Advertising ID at any time:

  • Android 12+: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID
  • Android <12: Google Settings → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

iOS — App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS 14 and later, Apple requires all apps to ask your explicit permission before accessing the IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) for cross-app tracking. When you first launch Flosna on iOS, you will see Apple's standard tracking permission prompt:

"Allow Flosna to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites?"

Tracking allows us to show you more relevant ads from our advertising partner (Google AdMob). Your financial data is never shared.

  • If you tap "Allow": AdMob may use your IDFA to serve personalized ads and for ad performance measurement.
  • If you tap "Ask App Not to Track": AdMob will not access your IDFA. You will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized (contextual only). No cross-app tracking occurs.

You can change your tracking preference at any time: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Flosna.

AdMob on iOS also uses SKAdNetwork — Apple's privacy-preserving attribution framework — to measure ad campaign performance without identifying individual users.

We do not share your financial data with AdMob or any ad network. Ad networks only receive the device-level identifiers described above.

2.4 Website (flosna.net) — Google AdSense & Analytics

Our website's finance tools (budget calculator, savings calculator, health score, expense demo) run entirely in your browser. Inputs and demo data are stored only in your browser's localStorage and are never sent to our servers.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate website traffic. GA4 collects anonymized data such as pages visited and general geographic region. IP addresses are anonymized before storage.

We use Google AdSense to display ads on the website. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ad Settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, we display a consent management notice (as required by Google) before loading AdSense or GA4. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies.

3. Apple App Store — Privacy Nutrition Labels

Apple requires us to disclose the data types our app and its third-party SDKs (such as AdMob) may collect. The following summarizes the data categories for the Flosna iOS app:

Data TypePurposeLinked to You?
Identifiers (Device ID / IDFA)Advertising (AdMob) — only if ATT permission grantedNo
Crash DataApp stability & diagnosticsNo
App Usage DataAnalytics (anonymous)No
Financial Data (transactions, budgets)Core app functionality — stored on device onlyNot collected by us

Data used to track you (cross-app tracking via IDFA) is only collected if you grant ATT permission. You may deny this at any time.

4. Data Backup

If you use the in-app backup or export features, the backup file is saved to a location you control (your device's local storage or your personal cloud). We do not receive or host your backup files. On iOS, if iCloud Backup is enabled by you in your device settings, app data may be included in your personal iCloud backup — this is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Flosna is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising networks may have additional restrictions for child-directed content in compliance with COPPA (US) and equivalent laws. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at flosnatracker@gmail.com and we will promptly address it.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial data to any third party.
  • We do not share your transaction data or financial information with advertisers.
  • We do not connect to your bank accounts or request bank credentials.
  • Third-party SDKs (AdMob, Analytics) collect only the identifiers described in Section 2, subject to your consent and platform permissions.
  • We may disclose information if required by applicable law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

7. Data Retention

All financial data is stored locally on your device. You control its retention — deleting the app removes all locally stored data. Anonymous analytics and crash data collected by third-party services are subject to their own data retention policies (typically 14 months for Google Analytics).

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, or portability of your personal data. Key controls available to you:

  • iOS: Revoke ATT permission — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Flosna
  • iOS: Reset or disable IDFA — Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
  • Android: Delete or reset Advertising ID — Settings → Privacy → Ads
  • Website: Opt out of personalized ads — Google Ad Settings
  • All platforms: Delete app data by uninstalling the app

For any other privacy-related requests (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), contact us at flosnatracker@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical measures to protect any data we handle. Because your financial data is stored locally on your device, its security also depends on your device's own security settings — we recommend enabling screen lock, biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID / fingerprint), and device encryption.

10. Third-Party Services

Flosna integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Flosna after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact Us
